Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, there lived a gentle cow named Seetha . Seetha was loved by all the villagers for her calm nature and the rich milk she provided. She used to go to the forest in order to graze and returns in the evening and feed the calf with her milk. The cow loved the calf very much.

One day, as Seetha was grazing, a hungry Tiger named Bhageera came out of the forest. Seeing Seetha, Bhageera decided to kill the cow for his meal. The Tiger approached the cow steadily and prepared to attack.

Later, Seetha sensed danger and turned to Bhageera and requested the tiger, “O mighty Bhageera, the Tiger, I see that you are hungry but please listen to me” said the cow Seetha.

Seetha continued ,”I have a young calf at village who depends on my milk. If you kill me now, my calf will die for hunger”. Therefore, she requested the tiger Bhageera to excuse her for a while so that she could go and give milk to her calf.

Bhageera thought for a moment and then agreed, believing that a cow would not dare to deceive a tiger. He allowed Seetha to go back to the village and feed the calf. Later Bhageera warned Seetha” if you don’t return , I will come to the village and hunt every cow I find”.

The cow Seetha returned to her shed immediately and fed her calf. She then explained to the villagers what had happened. The villagers were touched by her bravery and decided to help. They came up with a plan to protect Seetha from the Tiger.

The next day, Seetha returned as promised. Bhageera was waiting for her. Just as he was about to pounce, a group of villagers appeared, armed with sticks and torches. They surrounded Bhageera and made loud noises, frightening the tiger away.

Bhageera, realizing he was outnumbered and in danger, fled back into the forest and then never returned to the village again. Seetha and her calf lived peacefully, and the villagers admired her bravery and cleverness.
